Year 2 children have been learning about the different parts of flowers in our Science lessons, including the different parts of the carpel and the stamen. This week, we took advantage of the good weather and went outside to explore the flowers growing in and around our school grounds. The children touched flowers and, seeing pollen on their fingers, acted as pollinators by touching other flowers with their pollen covered finger tips!
