Today our Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 attended the annual St. Hugh’s Cross Country Relays. In typical cross country conditions of wind and rain, the Year 6s started the event as previous winners. An exciting race ensued with the Year 6 As finishing a very close 2nd to Beachborough School and our Bs finishing in 6th. Xander, Johnny and William all recorded outstanding times, finished agonisingly close to winning the race!

Jacob led the Year 5 As off with Freddie running the second leg and pulling back Beachborough’s lead to only 30 metres. However, Quinn ran the fastest leg of the day in a time of 4:41 and won the race by a handsome margin.

The Year 4s were also in a very exciting race where both Max and Finn narrowed the gap to the race leaders but finished just short and finished a close second.

Our Year 3s gained valuable experience from the event finishing a very creditable fourth.
