Record numbers were not limited to the weather last week as pupils from Years 3 to 8 rose to the occasion during an exhilarating Sports Day held at the outstanding facilities of Tilsley Park.
Despite the challenging heat, the energy and enthusiasm of the young competitors never wavered. Across a full schedule of sprints, relays, long jumps, throwing events and more, children gave everything for their house teams, cheered on by a crowd of parents, friends, and staff.
The spirit of sportsmanship was evident throughout the day, with pupils encouraging teammates, congratulating opponents, and celebrating each other’s efforts across the board.
A huge thank you goes to all who came along — parents, guardians, grandparents, siblings, and friends — for their fantastic support. A special thank you is due to the staff and volunteers who helped officiate and ensure the day ran like clockwork.
