We were delighted to see the sun starting to break through the clouds on an overcast but warm morning as we all gathered for our annual whole school Sports Day at Tilsley Park. At 9.10am our first track event started with the 60m hurdles, shortly followed by the Years 7 and 8 1500m. Meanwhile, off the track a variety of field events were taking place including the cricket ball throw, vortex throw, javelin, shot putt, long jump and high jump.
Throughout the morning several school records were broken and there were notable performances from a number of boys including Arthur (Year 4), Con (Year 3), Tom (Year 5), Jamie (Year 6), Toju (Year 6), Conor (Year 7) and Ned (Year 8).
The Headmaster looks forward to announcing the winners of the Victor Ludorum Trophies and House Athletics Cup during the last week of term in our Cups and Colours Assembly.
