Today the Thames Path was lined with boys and parents taking part in the ‘Footsteps for Footsteps’ sponsored walk. Over 40 boys and 50 parents donned walking boots to take up the challenge of walking either eight, five or two miles in aid of our chosen charity The Footsteps Foundation. The furthest walkers began in Dorchester, where the Footsteps centre is located, and all participants finished in Abingdon having followed the tow path alongside the river. Fortunately the weather was kind which only added to the overall enjoyment experienced by everyone – especially the boys who also followed a treasure trail along the way with boxes containing stamps, stickers or sweets hidden along the route. It was a fantastic conclusion to what has been another extremely successful fundraising year.
