Year 5 and 6 were inspired by local laboratory, Rutherford Appleton, on a Space Expedition Experience. The children considered what life on The Moon would feel like and investigated which materials would best work for an astronaut’s suit to reduce UV exposure, which is much higher within the Moon’s atmosphere. We also took part in an escape room and even got to visit a pop up planetarium, where we were dazzled by the constellations.
