Both Year 5 classes enjoyed a trip to Abingdon School to take part in their Science Club which is run by Sixth Form Ambassadors. 5S learnt all about Bunsens, including safety and how to change the flame. Then they tested a wide range of chemicals to see what colour they produced in the flame. Feel free to test them on their knowledge at our fireworks extravaganza! 5L learnt about forces in an activity led by one of our own ex-APS pupils. They designed and tested paper aeroplanes; the most skilful being able to bend like a boomerang!
