On a wet and somewhat windy Friday morning, 30 Year 4's started to walk along the Ridgeway towards an end point of White Horse Hill. The weather didn’t dampen spirits and before we knew it we were at the lunch point. After consuming our packed lunches the weather cleared up and we set off again. It was a real bonus to see the Year 8’s at the monument just a mile before we reached our hostel. We quickly changed, settled into dorms and then explored the outstanding woods in the grounds of the hostel. Various dens were constructed, battle lines drawn and tag games played over the undulating terrain. A hearty supper of spaghetti bolognaise, fish, chips and peas or jacket potatoes followed by apple crumble and ice cream renewed the boys’ energy.
