Pupils and staff commemorated Remembrance Day in a number of ways. In the lead-up to the day, Year 3 pupils enthusiastically sold poppies. On Monday, several Year 8 pupils contributed to a special assembly led by the Reverend Gooding, Chaplain at Abingdon School, reflecting on the service and sacrifice of past pupils who gave their lives in military service. Today, all pupils gathered outside to hold a two minute silence marked by the playing of the Last Post and Reveille by one of our Year 8 pupils. After the commemoration, pupils added their poppies to the school’s Remembrance display in the hall.
