The Reception class have been learning about the Rainforest and was very lucky to have a visit from Tye’s granny – Di Rooks, who has been to the Peruvian Rainforest.  During her time there, she assisted in a number of conservation activities, which she came to share with the boys. The children were fascinated by her slide show and stories.

She slept in the Rainforest and had to sleep under a mosquito net!  She had to wear a hat and a black net covering her face and neck.  She brought this in with her and many of the boys tried it on and loved looking through the black net!  She counted Macaw’s and had to record how many flew over every hour.
