Abingdon Prep school had a visit from The RAF, they have an Education programme and Sergeant Simon Williams came to run science workshop with Year 7. The aim was to see practical applications of the theory that they have learnt in the classroom. In the activities they were challenged to design a circuit to light up a helicopter landing pad. They finished by deciding what the priorities when setting up a base camp were. The RAF brought along great resources and the pupils enjoyed working on them. There was an emphasis on teamwork, communication, and problem solving and leadership skills as they worked in their teams. The Simon had a very good rapport with the boys and was impressed by their skill and application to the tasks.
