Year 4 boys investigated electrical conductors and insulators and their uses in everyday life. They constructed simple series circuits and learned the electrical symbols for cells, wires, bulbs, switches, motors and buzzers, relating these components to everyday life. They investigated the factors that can alter the brightness of a bulb and the uses of switches. They completed the topic by designing simple electrical quiz boards based on their interests.
