The weather was extremely warm and dry, which provided great conditions for our young athletes. Reception and year one boys all performed in throwing, running and jumping. In their house groups, boys attempted to beat their personal best score in a range of activities including vortex throw, beanbag relay, accuracy throw, hurdles and standing jump.

We held a transitional event for Year Two which prepares boys for the Prep sports event next year at Tilsley Park. The boys were placed in ability groups and competed in a 40 metre sprint, vortex throw, long jump and accuracy throw.

There were some extremely encouraging results and the spirit with which all of the boys competed was a delight to witness!

It was lovely that parents cheered on and gave encouragement to all the boys and their houses – all gave exceptional performances on the day. Pre-Prep Sports Day concluded with a house relay where Unicorn was victorious anchored by Karthik. After adding up all the results, the overall winners of Pre-Prep Sports Day were Unicorn. A special mention to the JPA who had the inspired idea of providing cold drinks and ice creams for all of our boys and parents.
