Today 16 boys from our Years 5, 6, 7 and 8 competed in the Pinewood 34th Annual Cross Country meeting where 12 schools took part including; Pinewood, Cheam, Summer Fields, Abberley Hall, St. Hugh’s and Farleigh. The running conditions were absolutely ideal for all of the runners.

In the Under 11 race, Abingdon Prep dominated from start to finish with all of our seven runners finishing in the top twenty out of the 90 runners. Quinn (Year 5) finished in 1st place closely followed by Jonny in 2nd and Freddie (Year 5) in 5th. The rest of our runners were tightly packed as follows: Jacob (14th), Xander (15th), Ludo (17th) and Pedro (18th). It was not surprising that the APS Under 11 team won the team competition.

The Under 13s started at a terrific pace which was maintained throughout the race. Nicholas finished in 2nd place closely followed by Rowan (Year 7) in 4th. The rest of the runners finished in the following positions: Thomas (12th), Thomas (17th), James (20th), Ollie (31st), George (32nd) and Dominic (45th). The Under 13 team finished as runners-up.

What a fantastic performance by all of our runners and thank you to all of our parents for their help and support.
