Year 3 artists have been studying colour and texture this term. We have been exploring where colour comes from, and how we can make natural paints using natural pigments. We used a pestle and mortar to prepare beetroot, spinach, turmeric, paprika, tea and coffee to create a variety of colours, and pigments. The results were surprisingly vibrant!
