Year 5 pupils have been studying the moon’s eight phases as part of our Earth and Space topic in Science. On Tuesday, they applied their understanding from their previous lesson by creating ‘living models’ of how the Moon and Earth rotate and revolve by acting these movements out as accurately as possible. Then they recreated the moon phases in the form of oreos! The pupils thought carefully about how their diagrams would be impacted by which side they placed the sun and were superb in explaining what each oreo represented. Well done Year 5!
