Abingdon Prep School announces new nursery class for January 2027
Abingdon Prep School is delighted to announce the launch of a new co-educational Nursery, which will open its doors in January 2027.
The Nursery will provide a warm and welcoming environment for its girls and boys, and greater flexibility for families. Operating on a term-time basis only, it will welcome children in the term in which they turn three covering the crucial year before they start Reception.
To give children the best possible start, the Nursery will offer a rich and varied Early Years curriculum, with an emphasis on nature, outdoor learning, and child-led discovery, which will naturally foster confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning from the very beginning.
Nicky Black, Head of Abingdon Prep School, says: “We know that choosing the right environment for a child’s first step into education is a deeply personal, and often emotional, milestone. Our new nursery will offer a gentle, supportive transition into early education. Through an holistic approach, play, exploration, and learning will be balanced within a safe and joyful environment where every child can thrive at their own pace.”
