Years 3 and 4 joined children from four other prep schools for a Singing Day hosted by the Manor School. The event was led by Val Whitlock, author and editor for the very successful Singing Sherlock series of songbooks. For the whole day her energy, humour and enthusiasm captivated the 300 children, leading them in copycat actions, vocal sounds and warm-ups; even the teachers had to join in!

All participating schools had previously been learning two songs, “A Hero called me” and “Everybody Listen to the River”, and singing together the massed voices made a fabulous sound.
