Every year, staff at Abingdon Prep take part in a pancake race to mark the beginning of Lent. This year instead, staff were challenged to a pancake tossing challenge, with mixed results! The assembly began with teaching about Lent with boys learning about the time Jesus was in the wilderness being tempted and how Christians often give up treat foods during Lent as a way of remembering.

This was followed by the pancake flipping competition where eight staff flipped a pancake for 45 seconds… the clear winner was Roger with 52 flips of a pancake but Louise showed determination and perseverance! The boys thoroughly enjoyed it, cheering, clapping and counting!
