31 Year 7 boys recently completed an external written examination in Latin. The examination, which is moderated externally at Cambridge University, checks their comprehension of a piece of unseen Latin text as well as their understanding life in the Roman Empire.
A mark of 60% or more was required to pass the examination and this was achieved by an impressive 27 of the boys, some of whom are seen pictured with the certificates that they received. Some of the marks gained by the boys were amongst the highest achieved by pupils nationwide in the same examination. Bene Year 7!
