On Monday, the APS orchestra welcomed some Abingdon School musicians for a side-by-side orchestral session. This was a fantastic opportunity for the younger students to benefit from performing with older and more experienced musicians in our ongoing collaborations. After a rehearsal together in the music room, an informal concert to parents was held in the hall, with the programme including ‘It Don’t Mean a Thing if you Ain’t got that Swing’, ‘Excerpts from the Lion King’ and an early festive rendition of ‘We Wish you a Merry Christmas’.
