Jonathan’s Jungle Roadshow visited Jimba Gede Arts and Crafts Club on Thursday to provide inspiration for our first project. Jonathan showed the boys a range of friendly creatures typically found in Kenya, where we have a flourishing link with Jimba Gede School.
Our initial encounter was with Bob the whip scorpion, who kept trying to get away from us and particularly enjoyed scuttling up Charlie Mendonca’s arm! Whip scorpions are native to Tanzania, a country bordering Kenya and despite their name, are perfectly harmless. We also met Leia, the not so harmless scorpion, Emerald the jungle nymph, Brunette the giant stick insect and Blotch the leopard gecko.
