On Monday our Year 5s travelled away to play their first ever school hockey match against Dragon School.

Tristan was awarded Man of the Match for being the driving force behind the U10 A victory with his dazzling stick skills and fluid play. However, the rest of the boys linked well, kept their shape and maintained possession superbly well. Jed (2) and Tristan (1) were the goal scorers.

The U10 Bs showed great character to put in a really positive performance, all the boys contributed and should be proud of how they played.

The U10 Cs played superbly well together in their first ever hockey match against a strong Dragon side. In many respects, they were unlucky not to win as they did most of the attacking in the second half. They showed a lot of potential and have an exciting future in this sport! Max scored the all important goal and very nearly scored the winner right at the end. Well done boys on an excellent effort!

The U10 Ds played with real spirit and fully deserved their 1 – 0 win thanks to an excellent team goal finished off by Ayaan.

Results:

U10 A – Won 3 – 0
U10 B – Drew 0 – 0
U10 C – Drew 1 – 1
U10 D – Won 1 – 0
