What a fun, muddy day the Reception and Year 1 boys had at Hill End Forest School.  We started off in the Green Dragon room, where each child made their own little planting pot out of paper, which they used to plant a sunflower seed into.

Our guide, Lawrence took us all out to dig up some soil and some compost, which we mixed together for our pots.  He told us about the soil and what makes it especially rich for our seeds to grow and taught us to do a rain dance to encourage the earthworms up to the surface – and we were experts – worms came up all around us!
