In Year 3, we had the pleasure of welcoming Laila into our classroom to share her insights about Islam. Her visit was incredibly enlightening for all of us. We were particularly fascinated by the examples of prayer mats and the special compass used to orient towards Mecca. The children were also thrilled to see traditional attire and to sample the delicious sweet treats typically used to break the fast during Ramadan.
