Making – and eating – a giant jam sandwich was the culmination of a week's work, based on the much loved poem, 'The Giant Jam Sandwich' in Phonics (Comprehension 1 group) for these Year 1s, 2s and 3s. The children are grouped, for a daily lesson, to work at a similar level. There's nothing like a scrumptious treat to motivate hungry boys!
