Year 5 pupils were solving international crime in their French lessons this week as they listened to statements in French of ten prime suspects in the mystery of the stolen pains au chocolat. They were then allowed a short amount of time to read through the police transcripts to complete their profiling. The careless thief had left behind a bag which contained a number of clues as to their identity and les agents de police were gradually able to eliminate suspects from their enquiry before revealing the identity of the culprit. Discovering the suspect had gone on the run with a stash of pastries, the pupils designed Wanted posters to try to secure their capture and were rewarded for their forensic police work with one of the pain au chocolat! Bravo les agents de police!
