On Saturday the year 7 and 8 boys had the opportunity to work in the style of Expressionist painter Franz Marc.
After learning about how his iconic style was influenced by the devastation of the 1st World War, inspiring his colourful, dream like animal paintings, the boys chose their own ‘spirit animal.’
Using acrylic paints on a stretched A3 canvas they threw themselves into the contrasting colours and textures found in Franz Marc’s work. Some are yet to be completed however they are all very striking and will be exhibited very soon.
