On Wednesday our Years 7 and 8 played Oratory School, while our Years 5 and 6 played against St Hugh’s. Almost every boy in both the middle and senior sections were represented on an exceptionally busy afternoon. Our senior section enjoyed a clean sweep of victories while our middle section won all but two of their eight matches.

Under 13s

It was a good win for the U13 As by 3-1. Two goals for Charlie and one for Dylan. There was great team play on display and credit must go to Alex who captained the side with great authority. The U13 Bs won by 1- 0.

Under 12s

The U12 As continued their winning streak with a convincing 3 – 0 win. Freddie controlled the match from midfield while both Jamie and Paul were clinical in front of goal. The U12 Bs maintained their 100% record with a well contested game against The Oratory. An early goal from Ishaan settled the nerves and Oratory withstood a barrage of corners to leave the match tightly poised at half time. The second half saw Oratory start strongly but the U12 Bs defence was resolute. Two quick counter attacking goals from Freddie and Toby sealed the win in a very enjoyable match played in great spirit by both teams.

Under 11s

The U11 As gave a sublime performance against St Hugh’s and thoroughly deserved their impressive result. They gave a very committed display from the outset and never relaxed, pushing themselves to keep scoring even when they were a long way ahead. James scored 5 goals and Josh scored 4, with other goals coming from Edward, Noah and Joseph. This was an excellent effort from the whole team and a genuinely superb performance. Overall it was a great day at St Hugh’s! All U11 teams won.

Under 10s

The Under 10 As continued their unbeaten run with a dominant performance against St Hugh’s. Jed controlled the midfield with mercurial ease while all of the others linked superbly well like seasoned professionals. The Bs were involved in a hugely entertaining match against St Hugh’s A team which finished in a 2 – 2 draw. Elliot showed great control on the ball and also that he has an eye for a goal! Alex was man of the match in goal where he made some absolutely spectacular saves. Our Cs and Ds made a very good account of themselves against St Hugh’s B team, both losing by an odd goal or two.

Well done to all of the boys involved!
