You may have heard of ‘Extreme Ironing’ where people find exciting places and activities to do whilst pressing their weekly laundry. On this theme, Extreme Reading came to Abingdon Prep. The aim of the competition was to promote reading and have some fun.
Children were invited to send in a picture of themselves reading a book in an unusual location, and they certainly found some very interesting reading spots!
Winners were revealed on World Book Day and received prizes of book tokens. We also had some special prizes for some very original entries, including ‘The Highest Flyer’ and ‘The Most Festive’. It was a fun event and a great opportunity to share our love of reading.
