Reception pupils visited the Science Lab for a fun activity for Science Week. Divided into four teams for four different habitats (Arctic, marshland, woodland and desert), they made animals from boxes by adding features that would allow their animal to adapt to its environment: eyes, ears, arms, legs, noses, tails, trunks, claws, mouths – and eyebrows in one case! They were helped in this by some Year 8 pupils and together they had great fun making the animals. Then each group presented their animals to us, confidently describing all the features. Excellent work Reception!
