On Saturday the Art room was a hive of activity, filing, etching, inking and printing. Students explored the history of printmaking using copper plates, the birth of the print press and the exceptional illustrations of Ernst Haeckle, Botanical artist and printmaker.
The etching onto Perspex was of the highest quality, and every student created a beautifully composed image. Lots of fun was had using the traditional press and a collection of outstanding prints demonstrate the hard work and dedication of the students.
