In our Computing lessons this year, Year 7 pupils have been taking part in the Tycoon in Schools Enterprise competition. Working together in teams, they developed an idea for a product for which they wrote their own business plans to pitch for a start-up loan from the Peter Jones Foundation.
They used their ICT skills to create a variety of sales and marketing materials including presentations, posters, videos and spreadsheets, leading up to a Mini Christmas Market which we held in the school hall, after school on Wednesday.
Pupils have worked with great enthusiasm and teamwork on this project and all profits will be donated to the school charities. Many thanks to parents who supported the project by allowing the pupils to bake their treats at home.
