In November, our Year 4 pupils visited Christ Church Abingdon as part of their RE topic on ‘places of worship’. Previously a stone working barn, the visit helped pupils to understand that not all churches look the same, as well as helping them gain an understanding of why churches hold Communion, Baptisms and Christenings. Year 4 did well to spot many of the features we have learned about in class, as well as spotting the Abingdon School crest (which was part of a donation from The Abingdon Foundation in the 60s).
