In Reception we have been exploring the celebrations attached to the Chinese New Year. We have decorated our room ready for our own special festival with all manner of art and craft projects linked to this special time of year in the Chinese calendar. From fiery red dragon puppets and lucky bright goldfish charm puppets, to golden coin trees and delicate fans. We have a very busy Chinese restaurant that even offers a take away service and many willing chefs and waiters. This year we decided to celebrate the end of the New Year festivities with a traditional Chinese Lantern Festival, which in China is known as the Yuan Xiao Festival.
