Our Year 8 pupils were given a fabulous introduction to the CCF by a team of cadets from Abingdon School. Four stations were set up in a carousel, allowing pupils to try their hand at setting up a stove and cooking food from a ration pack, before moving on to look at camouflage and concealment. They progressed to a task that involved setting up shelters in a line of trees and the final station was an introduction to the kit worn by cadets. This was led superbly by two former Abingdon Prep pupils, Harrison and Josef, who have progressed well in the CCF under the leadership of Captain Edwards and Squadron Leader Cottam. Seeing them leading younger pupils so confidently and with great skill is testament to the skills that involvement with the CCF brings.
