Four Abingdon Prep pupils competed in The British Schools’ Modern Biathlon Championships at Bath University Training Village on Saturday. Organised by Pentathlon GB, the Championships saw the best 1200 students from across the country competing to be crowned National Champion!
The Director of Sport and lead coach of both the swimming and cross-country, Ashley said, “We had a great day of competition. I was so impressed by the sportsmanship, care and support given to each other and other competitors. A parent of another school personally thanked me for an Abingdon Prep student helping support their child when they were feeling very nervous before a race. The whole squad is a credit to the school. A huge well done to all of our athletes. We enjoyed a lot of success, but also gained a great deal of experience at a top class venue”.
