‘Architecture workshop’ are a company who visit the school to work with children in a creative 3D way. The aim is to design and build large structures using wooden sticks and work as a team to problem solve in a practical way.

In year 6, boys were asked to design and build stylised sculptures/structures which represented Olympic events as a 3D iconography for the fast approaching 2012 summer games. The session required huge amounts of team work, cooperation, maths and imagination. A giant archer, a slalom kayak and a windsurfer featured amongst the finished articles!
