The Abingdon Relays proved to be an excellent early-season test of fitness and a valuable opportunity for runners to gain experience on the course that will also host the ESAA County round in two weeks’ time. The relay format made for an exciting afternoon of racing, with APS establishing an early lead in the opening legs before the Dragon closed the gap, setting up a thrilling final stage.
In a dramatic finish, APS showed great determination to come from behind in the last 50 metres and clinch victory in style. A special mention goes to Will, who produced the fastest leg of the day, completing the 2km course in an impressive 6 minutes 34 seconds.
