While the rest of Year 8 sat their AP+ exams, 8R visited Culham Science Centre and Oxford for an enrichment trip. We started with a tour of OAS where pupils learnt about the training that engineers receive, followed by a play with the robots, where pupils successfully did ten pin bowling using a ‘robot ball’ controlled remotely by their iPads. We then continued into Oxford where, despite the rain, Stefan toured us around a number of Colleges, pausing for a wonderful lunch in the covered market (and many Ben’s Cookies purchases) and ending with a walk through Christ Church Meadow.
