Abingdon Preparatory School

Upper School

Upper School

All boys study a wide variety of subjects from Year 6 onwards. Teaching is lively and stimulating and goes well beyond the confines of the national curriculum. Pupils are therefore well prepared for their Common Entrance Examinations and the school enjoys an excellent academic record.

About nine out of ten Abingdon Preparatory School pupils who leave at thirteen go on to Abingdon or other leading Oxford Schools. The results required by these schools, and thus achieved by our boys, would also ensure places for them in a very large majority of the leading independent schools in the country. Common Entrance papers are taken in English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, Religious Studies, Latin and French.
