Today 10 of our musicians from years 6-8 set out for a day of music-making at Radley’s annual Wind, Brass & Percussion Workshop, along with children from 4 other prep schools. As usual, the day started with the instrumentalists working in their section groups, with teachers from Radley coaching, which included warm-ups and rhythm work as well as preparing their pieces for the concert. After the boys had satisfied themselves with several courses at lunch, all the players met in the Silk Hall for a full rehearsal with the event organizer and Head of Wind at Radley, Simon Carr. Parents were invited to afternoon tea and a concert, which displayed the achievements of the day.
