Pre-prep In The Snow

Snow 01

14 February 2012

The boys ... and teachers in Year One and Reception enjoyed the unexpected snow today - replacing the normal Friday morning activities with fun in the snow! The children were delighted by the adventures to be had at the front of the school - sliding down the mound, rolling up the biggest snowballs and making snow angles, we even managed to roll a snowball UP to the top of the mound!  Who knows if he will still be there later?!

Excitedly exclaims of:  "this is the best day ever!"... "this is so much fun!"... "my hands are freezing, but I'm not stopping this!" were heard shouted amongst the boys.

The snow gloves were put to good use again at playtime when all three classes enjoyed the 'winter wonderland' outside in the Pre-prep playground! It is a good job we all have proper snow clothes, so we could really make the most of it!  We were all kept busy rolling, sculpting, throwing and sliding - what a treat!  What a shame it only happens once a year - but we really made a great day of it - despite frozen fingers and soggy socks, we will always remember our day in the SNOW!
