The school was 'alive' with all the animals and activity in the stable, when the Pre-prep boys took to the stage in their performance of 'Born in a Barn'.
The story evolves in the midst of a good deal of commotion and plenty of excitement in a Bethlehem stable, when the animals realise there is a baby in their barn! The cows, sheep, mice, dog, cat and cockerel all learn about their special guest from the donkey that brought him and the guests that follow.
As more and more visitors and camels arrive to greet the new king, the animals slowly realise what a privilege it is to share their home with such an important baby.
The Year 2 boys did splendidly in acting their parts and memorising their words and, while the Year 1 and Reception boys set the barn scene with some fantastic movements and actions to the songs. The boys all sang their hearts out with joy and volume, creating a wonderful spirit to mark the start of our Christmas season at Abingdon Prep School!
