Our Summer Concert was held on the hottest day of the year so far at the Amey Theatre, Abingdon School to a packed audience. As usual, a whole variety of musical genres were performed with all the year groups singing, combined with soloists, instrumental ensembles and choirs.
Orchestra opened the evening with a fabulous performance of Pirates of the Caribbean, followed equally impressively by String Group’s version of the Can-Can. Other instrumental ensembles also featured were Guitar Group, Brass Group and Jazz Band, including impressive improvisations from James MacLennan, Harry Day, Matty Ball and Freddie McElwaine-Johnn.
