This week we presented the last of our charity hampers. Richard and his dog Drew were invited back to the Junior Section assembly where they received the basket on behalf of Guide Dogs for the Blind. Previously, the Senior Section listened to an informative talk on how the Hearing dogs are trained and presented the hamper to Claire from the charity. Finally, a minibus of boys visited the training centre of the Medical detection dogs and watched various dogs demonstrate their skills. The dogs were certainly delighted with the gifts of toys and food.
Last weekend saw two staff (Anne Parker and Lynn Bosch) and a current parent (Wendy Miell-Ingram) successfully complete the Reading Half marathon, each supporting one of our three charities.
