Our Junior Section assembly this week was presented by Dr Lucie Winter and Dr Gabi Rees. Lucie is one of our mums and currently works at the John Radcliffe hospital as part of the pathology team. Together they talked about the role of pathology as a science in looking for cures for a variety of illnesses. We were shown a selection of pictures of cells in different areas of the body and on Bill, the cut out human.  We were asked to place the organs of the body. For each body part we learnt its size, weight and function and, in some cases, talked about how we take care of it: diet, excercise avoiding certain substances. The boys were all enthralled and asked some interesting questions.
