This Easter saw our first ever choir tour and it was a huge success. Members of Senior Choir gathered very early in the school car park at 5am on Sunday 1 April to travel by bus and ferry to Rhineland in Germany for five days. The entire day was spent travelling and we finally reached our youth hostel making it just in time for dinner. We had a quick rehearsal and went to bed. We awoke the next morning for what was going to be a big day – singing at Cologne Cathedral. On arrival we were immediately overwhelmed by its magnificence and were not surprised to learn that this is Germany’s most visited landmark. Were we really going to be singing there in a Mass service?
