For the last three weeks of term, during the Pre-prep assembly, we have been learning about the time of Advent, preparing for the arrival and waiting for Christmas. We lit the candles in the advent wreath and learnt about the customs of the Christmas season. To complete the festive reflection, we held a special assembly finding out about the Christingle. This was jointly led by Fiona, Reverend David Pickering (Kingston Bagpuize) and Reverend Richard Zair (Marcham). We learnt about the components of the christingle which means ‘Christ’s Light’ and it is a symbol of the Christian faith.
