On Sunday 14 December, the award-winning, championship-section Wantage Brass Band presented a family Christmas concert that delighted audiences with a selection of much-loved festive tunes, leaving attendees feeling thoroughly Christmassy. The concert was centred around a performance of the soundtrack to the 1982 popular short film The Snowman, played live alongside a screening of the film itself. With over 700 attendees across the two performances at the Amey Theatre, it was a roaring success.
Huge thanks to everyone at The Amey Theatre once again! Wantage Band have been using this amazing theatre for three years now and we have nothing but praise. Not only does it offer a brilliant acoustic for a brass band, it allows the audience to have a fantastic event experience. We can’t thank the staff enough for their willingness to help and professionalism both in the run up to any of our events and on the day itself.
